EXCLUSIVE: Greenwich Leisure acquired North American distribution rights to Barbara Lee: Talking Reality to Energy, the documentary directed by Peabody winner Abby Ginzberg (Gentle Vengeance: Albie Sachs and the New South Africa). The documentary premiered at DOC NYC and Greenwich will launch the movie in theaters on August 20.
That includes interviews with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cory Booker, Alice Walker, John Lewis, and Van Jones, Barbara Lee: Talking Reality To Energy, is a well timed portrait of a congresswoman who has been a real pioneer on behalf of racial and financial justice and the lone voice in opposition to the authorization of army drive after the September eleventh assaults.
