Springfield Police Department reports ‘severe staffing shortages,’ modifies business hours

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Springfield Police Division is slicing again hours on the headquarters on Chestnut Expressway. 

The division says it’s experiencing “extreme staffing shortages,” resulting in the modified hours. The staffing scarcity is impacting not solely sworn officers, but additionally skilled help employees.

Beginning subsequent week, you may file “walk-in” studies Monday by way of Friday from 7 a.m. to five p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The entrance foyer is closed on Sundays, whereas the south-side police station on West Battlefield stays closed to the general public.
